Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, also known as Villa Vizcaya, is the former villa of the well-known businessman James Deering, and is located on Biscayne Bay. It includes a beautiful, Italian Renaissance-style garden, plenty of water features, a landscape of more than 50 acres of native woodland, and gorgeous architecture. The Gardens are owned by Miami-Dade County and are open to the public, making this a great option for your engagement photos.

The Ancient Spanish Monastery was first built in Segovia in Northern Spain in 1133, and was occupied for more than 700 years. In 1925, William Randolph Hearst purchased the Spanish Monastery, which was dismantled stone-by-stone, and sent back to the US, where it was finally put together starting in 1952.
The Ancient Spanish Monastery is built in a beautiful architectural style, and features plenty of greenery and gardens, as well as statues and classic art. There is also an air-conditioned private changing room, which is a nice bonus feature.

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens was founded in 1977 to be a nexus for Japanese arts and culture in South Florida, and is modeled after traditional Japanese villas. It’s surrounded by a 16-acre garden with Japanese strolling paths, bonsai trees, lakes, pine forests, and much more, making it a unique and scenic destination for engagement photos in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

An engagement photo session feels special. Unlike the wedding, you’re alone, with only the photographer to document the love between you and your partner. No matter where you have your photos taken, you’re sure to create beautiful memories that you will think about for years and decades to come.

Jupiter Lighthouse was first built in 1860, on the site of an Indian shell midden. The large, red structure of the lighthouse is beautiful and historic, and it makes a great site for engagement photos, with its nearby proximity to palm trees and plenty of greenery, as well as the water. It’s located at the confluence of the Indian River and the Jupiter Inlet, in Jupiter, Florida.

BONUS: F.A.T Village Fort Lauderdale

Now – we could have easily moved this to the top. F.A.T Village offers some very rich ART and colors that go with who we are as creatives. We love creating dramatic eye catching images and this place lends itself for that.
